I received my B.A. degree in Graphic Design at California Lutheran University, and finished a semester early with Cum Laude honors.
During my three years at the University I worked as one of only three graphic designers for the entire University Marketing Department. My role there was to constantly create new print and digital ads that followed the branding and visual identity of the University. In this position I collaborated with other designers on hundreds of projects, as well as, worked independently with direction from the creative director.
I have an advanced understanding of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as, practice with video editing in Premiere Pro and graphics/animation in After Effects. I am confident that I can bring both technical expertise, as well as solid creative problem solving skills, to your organization and help your company continue to achieve success. I am an enthusiastic, hard working team player, who can take direction and work independently.
I previously worked as a Marketing Assistant at Dean Safe for five months, after which they asked me to start a full time position where I currently lead marketing design campaigns for the company. Dean Safe sells products from dozens of gun safety brands and has to follow all of those specific brand identities, well as incorporate the Dean Safe brand identity into advertising materials. I am currently in charge of creating email campaigns through Mailchimp, running photoshoots and editing new product photos for our Shopify Plus website, all social media content, and product video shoots and video editing.
During University, I was president of the school’s AIGA club. Holding multiple AIGA club events, and creating material for weekly meetings I successfully taught and mastered graphic design skills in the adobe suite. Namely, one annual event, the Design For Good, was one of my particularly successful events. There, I broke down groups of designers to completely rebrand chosen non-profit organizations and give them a clean, modern look. Specifically, we worked in a group to come up with materials such as a new logo, letterheads, business cards, flyers, and marketing campaigns. I was head in charge of the entire event, and oversaw each group’s progress and gave guidance and assistance. These experiences helped teach me the best ways to work with and coordinate other designers to create a visually appealing product for our clients.
